WMAAA offers a comprehensive academic and arts curriculum that is aligned with the State of Michigan's core curriculum guidelines. Beyond academics, the Academy places great value on students discovering the importance of the fine and performing arts as a means of expressing universal truths that can be appreciated by all cultures. Knowledge and competency in dance, music, drama, and the visual arts are supported. The Academy also encourages and teaches such life skills as respect for others, responsibility, friendship, cooperation and honesty. The curriculum is enriched by the use of technology, as well as community resources.
