Welcome to Ms. VanderLind's Third Grade Classroom.
It's new semester here in 3rd grade! We have finished studying about Motion and Me, and about the Weather and the Water Cycle. We have completed our unit on addition and subtraction, and we have counted money and made change. The Italian Restaurant was a huge success, thanks to all the parents who helped make and serve food, and check "receipts". The kids learned so much.
The next months will be busy also. In February we have 3 field trips in rapid succession. One is connected to Social Studies, one to Reading, social studies, and the arts, and the last February field trip is connected to Wellness week and healthy lifestyles. You may see a February Feedback questionaire come home . March will be busy with Festival of the Arts week, Reading month, and conferences.
