I am very excited about returning to West Michigan Academy of Arts and Academics to teach World Geography and U.S. History. I am passionate about social studies. We can learn innumerable lessons from the past, and learning about other cultures around the world helps foster a needed tolerance and understanding.

I am from Oil City, Pennsylvania, (Go Steelers!) a small town in the northwest area of the state. I attended Calvin College where I received a degree to teach middle school and high school social studies. I am currently attending Western Michigan University working toward my graduate degree in history. I live in Grand Rapids. I like to run, learn and, of course, teach.
