Welcome to 4th grade! My name is Bridget Heyblom. I grew up in Decatur, Illinois with my three sisters and two brothers. I moved to Michigan in December of 1996. I received a bachelor's degree from Eastern Illinois University and a master's degree from Western Michigan University. I have an amazing husband, Mitch and an energetic dog, Wrigley. During my 14 years of teaching experience, I specifically worked with third and fourth grade students. This included providing individual, small group, and whole class instruction to all students. I value individuality, and strive to meet the needs of each student. To accomphish this, I use a variety of hands-on activities and different teaching strategies to accomodate diverse learning styles. I also recognize the importance of trust, and successfully establish relationships with students that result in a safe and comfortable, yet challenging, learning environment. My interests outside of school include spending time with my family and friends, learning, working out, biking, reading, going to movies, cooking, and playing with our dog, Wrigley.
