I have lived in Grand Haven since I was about 8-years-old, and graduated from Grand Haven Public Schools. I completed my undergraduate studies at Grand Valley State University with certifications in elementary education as well as middle school language arts. After graduating from GVSU I substitute taught in various school districts for the next 2 years. My second year as a substitute I began subbing frequently at WMAAA and fell in love with the students and staff here! The following school year I came on staff at WMAAA as a Teacher’s Aide. I am now working as a Title 1 Reading Teacher at the academy and recently began working on my master’s degree in reading.
