I was born and raised in Grand Haven. Upon graduating high school, I attended Central Michigan University where I received a bachelor of science in Elementary Education.  I have always had a passion for working with children and I knew elementary education would make me most fulfilled. I have worked in special education programs, with elementary as well as with middle school students. I have also coached high school cheerleading for three years in addition to creating and coaching a dance team for two years. I completed my masters in Reading from Grand Valley State University in 2007. In October 2009, I had my first child (named Fisher) who I love watching grow and change every day! I am confident that my experience and training has prepared me to be an excellent teacher. I am excited about having your child in my classroom and I look forward to a great year!
