Education: BA in Language Arts and Literature from Grand Valley State University MLPP Certification Phonemic Awareness Training Reading Recovery Training Current Teaching Certificate with a BX (Language Arts/Literature) endorsement Further Education: Currently working on Masters in Early Childhood Education Work Experience: 11 years with Grand Haven Area Public Schools as a general education teacher's aide, substitute teacher, and working with the At-Risk Reading Recovery Program. 2 years at West Michigan Academy as a long-term substitute Family: My husband and I have traveled with our children as a military family for twenty-one years only to settle here in West Michigan. We are both natives of the Philadelphia area. We have two grown children, my daughter newly married and my son who is still attending college. I care for my mother who lives with us as well as 5 pet cats. Hobbies: I enjoy reading, gardening, swimming, boating and fishing. I really look forward to time on our boat out on the big lake! |
