Family: I have been married for three years and I currently live in Spring Lake with my husband and our dog, Willie. :) Both my family and my husband's family live in the area and we are fortunate to spend time with our siblings and parents often.

Education: I graduated from Spring Lake High School in 2000 and went off to Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo. I graduated with a bachelors of science in education in 2005 with minors in creative arts, math, and science. I am currently working on my master's degree from WMU.

Hobbies: I love to be outdoors as much as possible; trout fishing, gardening, going to the beach, almost anything! I really enjoy reading too, some of my favorite authors are Jodi Picoult and Nicholas Sparks. I also got hooked on reading Janet Evanovich books a couple years ago and I think I have 20 in my home library.

I am very proud to teach at WMAAA. This is my fifth year teaching sixth grade Language Arts and Social Studies. I've never seen such an incredible passion for education and love for learning as I've seen here. The staff is so energetic and fun to work with and the students are extremely talented and work very hard making my job very rewarding. It's awesome to have students not just from one community, but from all over Western Michigan, coming together and working together each day. WMAAA is such a great place!
