I am Marilyn (Rathbun) Koedyker. I spent most of my early years in Fremont, Michigan. Since then I have spent 10 years in Japan, 10 years in Iowa and now 11 years in Grand Haven. I loved teaching first grade for 7 years at WMAAA. Now I am happy to be teaching second grade for the fourth year. I am thrilled to have your child in my classroom! I have a bachelor's degree in biology from Hope College and a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Clinton, Iowa. I recently completed my Master's in Elementary Reading Education at Grand Valley. My husband, John, works in a variety of capacities for the Reformed Church in America. We have a wonderful family: Jason (29) is an analyst at Boer's Head Meat and owns a 100 year old house in Holland with his new wife, Lisa. Joel (also 29) is a student at Denver Seminary. Mary is Joel's adoring wife and Nathan and Matthew are their two sons. Jared (25) does soil testing in Las Vegas and bought a house in June. MariJo (21) is a senior at Hope College studying music education. When I am not teaching I love spending time with my family, walking, reading books, updating our home and hanging out at the beach.
