Hi, my name is Ronda VanDop. I have been fortunate to be at this academy since the beginning in 1996. I taught a combination class of second and third grade the first three years of our school.

I live 40 miles northwest of Spring Lake, between Holton and White Hall.  My husband and I built our dream house on a 10 acre parcel. We live with our black lab, Jake, who is 3 years old.

I graduated from Aquinas College in the spring of 1995 with a bachelor degree in education. In August of 2004 I received my Masters Degree in Elementary Education at Western Michigan University.

I am married to Luke who is also a teacher in Grand Rapids. I have been blessed with two daughters, Maranda and Becky, a fantastic son-in-law, Jason, and I have a six year old granddaughter, Katelynne. My hobbies are camping, reading, traveling, and bird watching. I have recently taken up snow-shoeing and absolutely love it.

My passion is to make a positive difference in the life of each of my students.
