How to Enroll
The Open Enrollment period for the 2026-2027 school year will be March 9-20, 2026. The enrollment link will populate on the 9th at 8:00am and expire the 20th at 4:00pm. If necessary, the public lottery will be held April 24, 2026 at 4:00pm.
Subsequent enrollments will be considered in the order submitted and placements will be based grade level capacity.
Tours of the Academy and meetings with the Principal are set up by appointment.

Student Selection Process
WMAAA is authorized by Grand Valley State University to serve students in Kindergarten through eighth grade. All Michigan students in grades K-8 are eligible to apply for enrollment. A random lottery is conducted when a particular grade is oversubscribed. No student is denied admission on the basis of race, religion, sex, national origin, intellectual or athletic ability.
Kindergarten Round-up
Kindergarten Round-up for the 2026-2027 school year is scheduled for February 26th. If you are unable to attend that event, please call the school office with any questions or to schedule a tour.
2026-2027 Enrollment
Openings in our classrooms for the upcoming school year are filled during our two week open enrollment period in March of each year.
2026-2027 Open Enrollment will be March 9-20, 2026
Open Kiosks for families needing assistance with enrollment will be available March 18, 2025 from 4:00-5:30pm.
If a public enrollment lottery is needed it will be held April 24, 2026 at 4:00pm.
Enrollments submitted after March 20, 2026 will be placed in the order submitted and based on grade level availability.
